Turkey toughens measures against COVID

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced the tightening of restrictive measures to curb the coronavirus's spread in the country, Report informs.
“Due to the increase in the number of coronavirus cases, the Turkish government has decided to tighten restrictive measures. In the first two weeks of Ramadan, long-distance traffic is prohibited, restrictions on going out to the street for persons under 20 and over 65 years old have been reintroduced, the duration of the curfew has been increased, which will now be in effect from 19.00 (previously from 21.00) to 5.00, the curfew on weekends remains from 19.00 Friday to 5.00 Monday. Restaurants render delivery and takeaway services only,” Erdogan said.
