Turkey backs 160 countries in fighting pandemic

Turkey, through the Ministry of Health and other structures, has provided assistance in the form of medical equipment to 160 countries of the world, thus becoming an example of global solidarity in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, Report informs citing data from the Turkish Ministry of Health.

From the onset of the spread of the coronavirus, Turkey has extended a helping hand to a large number of countries and international organizations.

As part of these initiatives, support in the form of medical equipment and material assistance was directed to 160 countries and 14 international organizations.

In particular, in-kind assistance through the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Foreign Ministry, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the Turkish Red Crescent Society, and associations was provided to 131 countries, including the USA, Germany, the People's Republic of China, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Russia, Norway, Nigeria, Mexico, and Somalia.
