Trade turnover between Armenia, Türkiye more than quadruples

During 2022, the trade turnover between Armenia and Türkiye increased by 4.4 times, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia said, Report referring to Sputnik Armenia.

The exports from Armenia to Türkiye increased by 139 times to $61.2 million.

After Armenia lifted the sanctions imposed on Turkish goods, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $324.5 million last year.

The imports of Turkish goods went up by 3.6 times.

Türkiye mainly exported citrus fruits, electrotechnology, and construction materials to Armenia.

The embargo on Turkish goods has been lifted in Armenia since January 1, 2022.

In protest against the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, Türkiye had closed its borders with Armenia since 1993 and cut off all ties with Yerevan.
