Three people detained on suspicion of financing terrorism in Kazakhstan

Officers of the National Security Committee (NSC) of Kazakhstan detained three people suspected of promoting and financing terrorism, Report informs, citing NSC.

“On January 20 and 24, operations were carried out in the cities of Astana, Shymkent and the Aktobe region. Operatives detained and took into custody three people suspected of promoting and financing terrorism,” the committee said.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched under two articles of the Criminal Code. Operational and investigative measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of these cases.
