The meeting of the foreign ministers of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) will take place in June in Nizhny Novgorod, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov said, Report informs via Russian media.
According to him, as part of Russia's chairmanship of BRICS in 2024, more than 200 events are planned in dozens of Russian cities. The main event is the 16th BRICS summit, which will be held in October 2024 in Kazan.
The day before, the head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, announced that the BRICS countries in 2024 will focus on the interaction of payment systems and settlements in national currencies.
