Some ten people arrested during the anti-government protests in the cities of Abdanan and Dehloran in Ilam province, western Iran, went on a hunger strike on January 7 to protest against their continued detention, Report informs, citing foreign media.
The protesters have been transferred to a detention facility in the city of Ilam for temporary detention.
Some of these people have been in detention for more than three months, and the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Intelligence in Ilam have been preventing their release on bail.
The names of these individuals are Ashkan Ahmadi, Saman Moradi Vandan, Mojtaba Mohammad-Vali, Saman Ghassemi, Milad Ansari, Pouya Mahmudnezhad, Ramin Salmani, Sajjad Jamali, Akbar Darvishi and Amir Akrami.
