'Tavush for the Homeland' movement marches to Armenia's Investigative Committee

On Monday, the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement embarked on a march from the Surb Khach Church in Yerevan's Arabkir administrative district to the building of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Armenia. The protesters, led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, aim to present their demands to the committee.

Report informs via Armenian media that additional police forces have already been deployed to the IC building in anticipation of the march. Prior to the start of the demonstration, Archbishop Galstanyan emphasized that the gathered individuals have specific requirements that they intend to convey to the committee.

However, the archbishop also pointed out that "everyone knows that all decisions in Armenia are made by one person." He further suggested that officials have the choice not to comply with the whims of the authorities and refrain from making unlawful decisions.

Galstanyan also remarked that foreign ambassadors likely observe and document the situation but remain silent due to agreements with the Armenian authorities.
