Surprise move: Iran's acting president chooses not to run for office

Iran’s acting president, Mohammad Mokhber, doesn’t intend to run in the upcoming elections, according to the Tasnim News Agency, Report informs referring to TASS.

This decision comes despite calls from his supporters urging him to participate in the race.

The agency does not provide reasons for this decision.

So far, 37 candidates have already been registered.
