Information about France's direct financial aid to Georgia is incorrect, said Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament commenting on the news about France's decision to stop direct aid to the Georgian budget and to increase support for civil society and the media, Report informs.

“After it was felt that the government of Georgia was not specifically pursuing the interests of another government, the funding was redirected to those who persued their interests. So, this is another proof that certain intentions are behind such funds,” Papuashvili said.
