The Russian Embassy in Denmark stops accepting applications and documents on all consular issues from September 6 due to the decision of this country's authorities to reduce the number of Russian diplomatic workers, the consular depatment of the Russian Foreign Ministry said on the Telegram channel.

Report informs citing TASS that Denmark decided to reduce the number of Russian diplomats in the Russian Embassy in Copenhagen to the number of Danish diplomats in the representative office in Moscow - from 15 to 5 people.

"In connection with the unprecedented decision of the Danish authorities to reduce the number of Russian diplomatic workers in Denmark, the consular department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Denmark will be forced to suspend its activities," the statement says. "Currently, work is underway to preserve the possibility of consular services for Russian citizens. From September 6, 2023, the acceptance of applications and documents for all consular issues (including issuing passports, notarial acts, issuing visas, pension issues, etc.) will be ceased."

As specified in the published message, the issuance of ready-made documents - passports, visas, requested documents and certificates - will continue until September 25, 2023, and consideration of previously accepted applications will continue.
