Soldier who deceived US citizen detained in Armenia

On March 19, the Armenian military police identified a criminal group suspected of extortion and fraud, according to the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Report informs referring to Armenian media.
From December 2020 to February 2021, members of the group, including a conscript, for various reasons related to military service, through deception under the pretext of help received the amount equivalent to $25,000 from US citizen.
The detainees gave evidence. A criminal case was initiated.
