Smoke engulfs Izmir as wildfire rages

A forest fire has broken out in Izmir city, Türkiye, specifically in the Karsiyaka district, Report informs via Turkish media.
The city is now shrouded in smoke. Efforts to extinguish the blaze are underway, involving both air and ground interventions.
Two planes and four helicopters have been deployed to combat the fire.
Additionally, there have been reports of disruptions to the electricity supply in the affected region.
