The Samarkand Declaration was adopted as a result of the summit of the heads of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Report informs, citing Sputnik-Uzbekistan, that the Samarkand Declaration is the main document of this summit. It reflects the consolidated positions of the SCO member states on the issues of the further development of the organization and topical issues on the global and regional agenda.
According to the information, it outlines joint approaches to further improving practical cooperation, ensuring regional stability, security and sustainable economic development, strengthening transport interconnectedness, as well as deepening cultural dialogue.
