Samarkand hosts meeting between Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rahmon

Before the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon had a short meeting, Report informs, citing Sputnik Tajikistan.
After speaking with his Tajik counterpart, the Russian leader turned to his assistant for international affairs Yuri Ushakov, and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and had a short conversation.
His meeting with his Tajik counterpart was not planned in advance.
Currently, there is a skirmish on the state border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
