Georgia begain to give mass refusals to Russians to enter the territory of Georgia, said Yegor Kuroptev, director of the Free Russia Foundation public organization in the South Caucasus, Report informs, citing Agentstvo.
According to him, Georgia strengthened border control for visiting Russians a few weeks ago, and now dozens of people are not allowed to enter every day:
"Profession, living in Georgia, or having a contract for a rental house doesn't matter. If there is no residence permit, no other document is a guarantee of entry to Georgia for Russian citizens."
After Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, Georgia has become one of the most popular countries for Russian tourists. As part of the official Western sanctions against Moscow, obstacles have been created for Russian citizens to enter those countries.
At the same time, many Russian political activists and journalists moved to Georgia after the war broke out.
