Russian Foreign Ministry condemns US attacks on nuclear facilities in Iran

Moscow strongly condemns the US attacks on nuclear facilities in Iran; this irresponsible decision grossly violates the UN Charter, reads a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, Report informs.

"Russia strongly condemns the strikes carried out by the US at dawn on June 22 on a number of nuclear facilities in Iran, undertaken following the Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic," the ministry noted.

It was emphasized that "the irresponsible decision to subject the territory of a sovereign state to missile and bomb strikes, no matter what arguments are used to justify it, grossly violates international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council resolutions, which previously unequivocally qualified such actions as unacceptable."
