Russian Defense Ministry declares ceasefire in Ukraine

Russia declared a ceasefire in Ukraine's capital city Kyiv and three other cities - Mariupol, Kharkiv and Sumy - on Monday, Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Report informs that, according to the statement, taking into account the catastrophic humanitarian situation and its sharp aggravation in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy and Mariupol, as well as at the personal request of the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Russian Armed Forces for humanitarian purposes, on March 7, from 10:00 am establish cease-fire and open humanitarian corridors.
