Russian and Iranian FMs discuss tension in Middle East

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Ali Bagheri Kani, according to Russian MFA, Report informs.
"During the talks, the main focus was on the current situation in the Middle East. The parties expressed their serious concerns about the dangerous increase in tension caused by the failure to resolve numerous crises in the region, primarily in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. They emphasized the priority of resolving existing issues through political and diplomatic channels with the assistance of international actors," the ministry stated.
