Russia, US discuss diplomatic normalization

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, during talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, reaffirmed Moscow's readiness to seek a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and its commitment to agreements reached in Anchorage, Report informs via Russian media outlets.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated following the meeting in Manila: "Lavrov confirmed Russia's readiness for a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict and reiterated its commitment to the proposals put forward by the US side during the meeting of Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Anchorage."
In addition, Lavrov and Rubio discussed the normalization of conditions for diplomatic missions of both countries and agreed to continue contacts.
"An agreement was reached to continue contacts through the foreign ministries, including within the framework of the two countries' participation in international organizations," the ministry added.
