The Russian economy's workforce demand increased by 10% in the second quarter of 2024, reaching 2.7 million people, reads a study by the Higher School of Economics, Report informs via Izvestia.
In the first half of the current year, the highest labor shortage was formed in the construction segment and companies providing road freight transportation services.
Most of the vacancies in the labor market are in the IT, construction, and retail sectors. The article emphasized that the labor shortage causes companies to take measures to retain specialists, increase salaries, and hire both young people and representatives of the older generation.
