Russia bans entry to Armenian MP

Khachatur Sukiasyan, a member of parliament from the ruling Civil Contract faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, has been banned from entering Russia, Report informs referring to 24news.

The reason for this decision is not specified.

However, the information is noteworthy against the backdrop of news about the theft of diamonds from the Alrosa company and their delivery to a company associated with Sukiasyan.

Earlier, the Federal Security Service of Russia informed about the detention of individuals who stole diamonds from the Alrosa company, including company employee Valentina Matyushenkova, her son Alexey Matyushenkov, and smugglers Armen Petrosyan and Arman Sahakyan. During the searches, approximately 200,000 carats of industrial diamonds, money, and jewelry were seized.
