Russia approves concept of reducing alcohol consumption

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation has approved the concept of reducing alcohol consumption until 2030, according to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Healthcare, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The main goals of the document are to reduce morbidity, disability and mortality associated with alcohol consumption.
From May 1, 2024, excise taxes on alcohol and tobacco will increase in Russia.
