Relations between Armenia and CSTO secretariat become strained

The powers of the secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization do not include interpreting the statements of the member countries of the organization, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vahan Hunanyan said, Report informs.

He said that the member countries of the CSTO do not expect an understanding of their decisions from the secretariat: "The duties of the secretariat are clearly specified in the organization's charter and other documents."

Unanyan said that the secretariat is a working body that provides organizational, informational, analytical, and advisory support to the activities of the organization's bodies.
