Nearly 1,000 people with Armenian and Russian flags are participating in a demonstration in central Yerevan in support of Russia's military actions in Ukraine, Report informs citing TASS that it is broadcast in real-time by Armenian news portals.
"We are supporting the Russian soldiers; we are united with our strategic ally. When we defend Russia, we defend our statehood and the sacred church," former MP Hayk Babukhanyan, one of the initiators of the protest action, said at the rally.
Participants in the protest are chanting pro-Russian slogans, singing military songs of WWII.
They started a procession to the Russian embassy to express their support to the members of the diplomatic mission.
