Qatar, Egypt to receive SCO partner status, Belarus to become full member

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has announced the start of the procedure for granting Belarus the status of a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Report informs with reference to TASS.
“We are making a decision to start the procedure for granting Belarus the status of a full member of the SCO,” Mirziyoyev said on September 16, opening an expanded meeting of the organization’s summit in Samarkand.
“Today, a memorandum of commitments of the Islamic Republic of Iran as a full member of the organization is being signed. <...> We welcome the signing of memorandums on granting the status of dialogue partners to the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Qatar,” he added.
