Putin: US seeks to weaken Europe and prolong conflict in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the United States is acting in the logic of getting benefits from weakening the position of Europe and protracting the Ukrainian conflict, according to Report.

"Both the Europeans and the representatives of the European elites see that the so-called support for Ukraine ... is serving alien interests that are far from European: the interests of the overseas global hegemon, which benefits from the weakening of Europe. It also benefits from the endless prolongation of the Ukrainian conflict," Putin said.

According to him, this is hardly in the true interests of the American people.
