Pezeshkian: 3+3 format - effective mechanism for settlement in South Caucasus

The "3+3" negotiations will become a more effective mechanism for resolving problems in the South Caucasus, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said during a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Report informs referring to Iranian media. "The "3+3" negotiations (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia - Russia, Türkiye, Iran) with the participation of Iran and Russia will become a more effective and efficient mechanism for resolving problems in the region," Pezeshkian noted.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has discussed the situation in the South Caucasus in a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Report informs referring to a statement from the Kremlin.
During the conversation, Putin informed his Iranian counterpart about the main results of the Russian-American summit held in Anchorage (Alaska).
Masoud Pezeshkian, in turn, expressed support for the ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
"The parties also discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, the situation around the Iranian nuclear program and developments in the South Caucasus region. Putin and Pezeshkian agreed to meet at the upcoming SCO summit in China," reads the Kremlin statement.
