On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with his Syrian counterpart, Bashar al-Assad, within the walls of the Kremlin, according to Report, which cites Russian media.
Putin emphasized the need to address the escalating situation in the region, with a particular focus on the Syrian question.
The two leaders also will also delve into matters of trade and economic cooperation between their nations.
