Baku. 25 December. REPORT.AZ/ Syrian, Iraqi and Armenian immigrants are holding a protest action outside the government building of Armenia, Report informs citing the Armenian media.

The participants of the action prepared a letter protesting the shutdown of the Ministry of Diaspora. The protesters are going to deliver it to Armenia's acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Notably, 12 ministers will remain instead of 17 as a result of a reform in the Armenian government structure. According to the proposed changes, the Ministry of Diaspora will be dissolved, its powers will be transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.

Last week, employees of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Diaspora held a protest against the shutdown of their agencies.
