A fire occurred in a private boarding house in Voronezh, Russia, Governor Alexander Gusev said on Telegram, Report informs via TASS.
Fifty-two patients were evacuated.
“In the Kominternovsky district of Voronezh, a private boarding house caught fire. Experts will determine the cause. The rescuers evacuated about 50 bedridden patients in the shortest possible time,” he noted.
As the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified, the roof of a two-story building covering an area of 200 square meters got ablaze. According to the ministry, there were 52 people inside: 49 patients, and 3 staff members. In the shortest possible time, firefighters managed to carry all the patients out. “The firefighting efforts continue. Sixty-six specialists and 24 pieces of equipment are working on the site,” the department reported.
There were no casualties.
