President of Georgia meets with Nikol Pashinyan

President of Georgia Mikhail Kavelashvili met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his official visit to Yerevan, Report informs, citing the Administration of the President of Georgia.

During the one-on-one meeting held at the Armenian Government House, Kavelashvili expressed his support for regional cooperation and peace initiatives in the South Caucasus.

The parties discussed the effective cooperation and good neighborly relations that exist between Georgia and Armenia. The current challenges in the region, as well as the importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus, were also discussed.

President Mikhail Kavelashvili stated that Georgia considers the declaration on the completion of peace agreement negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, dated March 13, 2025, as a historic step towards lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

Kavelashvili also noted that a trilateral meeting between the Foreign Ministries of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan was recently held in Tbilisi, and continuing cooperation in this format is important for the welfare of the region.

According to him, Georgia is committed to developing regional dialogue and cooperation in the South Caucasus and is ready to support initiatives in this direction.
