President: Kyrgyzstan proposes to actively use potential of ECO countries to develop renewable energy sources

Kyrgyzstan has proposed to actively use the potential of the Economic Cooperation Organization countries to develop renewable energy sources, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov said at the 16th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in the capital of Uzbekistan, according to Report’s correspondent from Tashkent.
“It is important to direct our joint efforts to develop effective mechanisms for the economic development of the organization’s member country,” he noted.
According to Japarov, in recent years there has been an expansion of trade and economic relations among the ECO member countries.
The president of Kyrgyzstan also emphasized the importance of developing energy cooperation within the ECO.
