Pope Francis calls on everyone to pray for peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Pope Francis called on everyone to pray for the peaceful settlement of tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia during his speech at the ceremony held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, Report informs.

"I learned that new tension sources have flared up in the Caucasus region. I call on everyone to pray for peace. Let's pray that agreement prevails over sedition," he said.

Pope Francis is on a visit to Kazakhstan. He is participating in the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
