Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia are closing their land borders to Russia and Belarus, Deputy Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Mustafa Naim said, Report informs via UNIAN.
According to him, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia will ultimately close the roads for trucks belonging to Russia and Belarus within the next 48-72 hours.
“Last week, we officially appealed for the closure of all highways leading to Russia and Belarus. Our appeal was immediately considered. We are waiting for the final result,” the deputy minister noted.
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the European Union closed its airspace to Russian aircraft. However, transportation between the EU and Russia is carried out by land.
