Plane on Istanbul-Minsk route lands with partially destroyed landing gear

A Belavia airline passenger plane flying on the Istanbul-Minsk route successfully landed in the Belarusian capital, despite technical problems, according to the press service of the Belarusian air carrier, Report informs referring to Belarus media.
After flight B2-784 took off from Istanbul Airport, operated by a Boeing 737-MAX 8, airport ground crews inspected the runway and reported possible damage to an aircraft wheel.
According to the press service, the landing went well, and the passengers and crew on board were not injured.
The plane was left on the runway and the engines were turned off to prevent possible overheating of the landing gear. The aircraft was then towed to its parking area.
