The terrorist organization PKK plans to hold a congress in the coming month, at which it may announce its self-dissolution.

According to sources, the congress may take place in the cities of Sulaymaniyah or Erbil in Iraq. It is expected that a significant number of members of the organization will participate in the event, and security will be provided by the Iraqi side.

The financing of the PKK through drug, arms and human trafficking is estimated at $40 billion.

However, some of the members of the organization who have a share in this illegal income may resist the process of laying down their arms.

After the dissolution of the PKK, it is expected that a special disarmament mechanism will be developed, with special attention being paid to the surrender of weapons by militants of the Syrian wing of the organization.

On February 27, the imprisoned leader of the PKK, Abdullah Ocalan, called on his supporters to lay down their arms and surrender.
