The Irpin Central Polyclinic in Kyiv Oblast, which suffered extensive damage during the early stages of the war with Russia, has been fully renovated and reopened by the Azerbaijani state, Report informs.

The inauguration of the polyclinic, held on the eve of academician Zarifa Aliyeva's birthday, was attended by the local community of Irpin.

Prominent attendees included Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development, Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Foreign Minister, Oleksandr Mishchenko, Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament), Olena Kondratiuk, Kyiv Oblast Governor Mykola Kalashnyk, several MPs, ambassadors, SOCAR ENERGY UKRAINE officials, and members of the Azerbaijani diaspora.

The ceremony began with participants laying wreaths and flowers at a monument dedicated to Zarifa Aliyeva in a park named after her, honoring her memory.

During his speech, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Ukraine, Seymur Mardaliyev, noted that this is the second major facility restored by Azerbaijan in Irpin, following the reconstruction of a lyceum with the support of "SOCAR ENERGY UKRAINE." He highlighted key improvements, including comprehensive renovations, the installation of modern fire protection systems, and the creation of a state-of-the-art shelter in the polyclinic's basement. Mardaliyev also revealed Azerbaijan’s plans for four additional restoration projects in Irpin.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba noted that Irpin is the city in Kyiv Oblast that suffered the most damage as a result of the Russian attack in 2022: "Three years after the full-scale attack and the destruction that occurred here, we are talking about the restoration of Irpin and that this is a significant event today. This is happening thanks to our friend, the state of Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani embassy is very actively involved in this matter. We are very grateful to Azerbaijan for this support. The renovated polyclinic in Irpin is undoubtedly Azerbaijan's great contribution to the reconstruction of our country. We thank our friends and are confident that with such friends, such partners, we will rebuild our entire country," he added.

Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Oleksandr Mishchenko stated that on academician Zarifa Aliyeva's birthday, they respectfully commemorate her memory: "We always remember and love her. We feel the care shown by the Azerbaijani people to Ukraine, to Irpin. The restoration of the destroyed polyclinic in Irpin as a result of the concrete activities of the Azerbaijani state and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan is an example of this. This is an infrastructure facility that is very necessary for everyone. This support was also provided by the decision made by President Ilham Aliyev. We thank President Ilham Aliyev."

Governor of Kyiv Oblast Mykola Kalashnyk, Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk, and others expressed their gratitude to Azerbaijan for its humanitarian support to Ukraine at such a time.
