Report's East European Bureau prepared a photo reportage from the village of Markove, which is under artillery fire almost every day.

A villager named Aleksandr Kugach said that they are under fire practically every day: "We live under a hail of bullets. The garage was destroyed, and the car was dented. The house was also seriously damaged. The incident happened tonight."

Another resident, Lyubov Kovach, said that the area was fired upon every day: "For example, strikes were carried out from 01:00 at night to 06:00 in the morning. At that time, I, my wife, and my mother-in-law were in the corridor. My wife was injured, and we moved to a neighbor's house. Later, two shots were fired at our house. If we didn't get out in time, we would die."
