Peskov: Putin and Trump ready for bilateral meeting, but no specifics yet

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump express readiness to communicate in a meeting, however, there are no specifics in this direction yet, Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, Report informs via Russian media.

"President Putin has repeatedly stated his openness to contacts with international leaders, including the US President, including Donald Trump. No conditions are required for this. What is required is mutual desire and political will to conduct dialogue, to solve existing problems through dialogue," said Peskov, noting that Trump also declares his readiness to solve problems through dialogue.

"We welcome this. We proceed from mutual readiness for the meeting. Apparently, after Mr. Trump enters the Oval Office, there will be some movement," he said.
