The decrease in Russia's activity in the negotiations regarding the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization process is caused by the events in Ukraine, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a press conference held on Tuesday, Report informs.
The Prime Minister drew attention to the predominance of meetings on Western platforms and several telephone conversations with US Secretary of State Antony Blicken recently.
"I highly appreciate the efforts of the United States, because they are really making great efforts for the realization of the peace treaty," Pashinyan said.
According to him, this is not due to the desire to exclude Russia or the West from the process, but for objective reasons: "The decrease in Russia's activity in the negotiations and initiatives is not due to Moscow's unwillingness to resolve the issue, but due to the events in Ukraine."
