Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the issue of reducing the debt to Russia using funds paid for the purchase of weapons is being considered, Report informs.
The head of the Armenian government was answering questions during a direct line.
The head of government didn’t name specific amounts, saying that there are problems with non-fulfillment of arms contracts. He noted that this is not the only option to resolve the issue; there are others.
“We know that Russia itself needs weapons. In this context, we are determined to resolve the issue in a working manner. I hope that the discussions will lead to concrete results,” he added.
The Armenian authorities have repeatedly stated that Russia didn’t supply weapons and military equipment under the contract, as part of which funds were transferred, according to some sources $250 million, according to others - about $400 million.
