Defense Ministry: Kherson returning under Ukraine’s control

Kherson is returning under the control of Ukrainian troops. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already entering the city, according to the statement of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.

“The retreat routes of Russian troops are under the fire control of the Ukrainian army. Any attempts to oppose the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be stopped,” the report says.

“You have the only chance to avoid death - to immediately surrender,” the Main Intelligence Directorate noted.

The Ukrainian flag is fluttering in the center of Kherson.

Report informs via RBC-Ukraine that the banner was raised by partisans.

"The resistance movement extends its greetings. Glory to Ukraine," local journalist Konstantin Ryzhenko said on Telegram.

UNIAN reports that the Ukrainian troops resumed active movement in the Kherson direction lately, while Russian troops announced the alleged withdrawal from the right bank of the oblast.
