Peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan play an important role in ensuring peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus, Speaker of Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili said during a meeting with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu in Tbilisi, Report informs.
The parties discussed cooperation between Georgia and the OSCE, political processes in the country, legislative activities of the parliament and the upcoming municipal elections, as well as issues of regional cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of Georgia to Austria and Permanent Representative to the OSCE Alexander Maisuradze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on International Relations and Head of the Delegation to the OSCE PA Nikoloz Samkharadze.
