Over 75 planes fly Russian peacekeepers to Kazakhstan

A group of more than 70 IL-76 aircraft and five AN-124 planes around the clock redeploy units of the Russian contingent of the CSTO forces to Kazakhstan, according to the country’s Defense Ministry, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.
Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, commander of the Airborne Forces, was appointed to lead the actions of the CSTO peacekeeping forces in Kazakhstan.
The collective peacekeeping forces of the CSTO in Kazakhstan will number about 2,500 people, if necessary, they can be strengthened.
The peacekeeping forces of Russia include units of the 45th Airborne Special Forces Brigade, 98 Airborne Divisions and 31 Separate Airborne Brigades.
