Over 540 earthquakes recorded in Mediterranean region in last 48 hours

More than 540 earthquakes were recorded in the Mediterranean region in the last 48 hours, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said in a statement, Report informs, citing the Turkish media sources.
The death toll from the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that occurred in Turkiye on February 6 has reached 3,419, and the number of injured has increased to 20,534. The earthquake in Syria killed 1,444.
