Over 198,000 people contract coronavirus in Russia per day

The number of recoveries from the COVID-19 infection in Russia increased by 198,369 per day, Report informs, citing the Operational Headquarters that a total of 12,026,844 recoveries have already been registered since the start of the pandemic.

The number of hospitalizations due to coronavirus in Russia per day amounted to 18,632, which is 3% higher than the previous day. In the meantime, the number of hospitalizations decreased in 38 regions, in 32 it increased, and in four it remained unchanged, the headquarters said. A day earlier, it was 18,090.

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Russia increased by 180,071 in a day, to 15,020,573. In relative terms, the increase in the number of cases was 1.21%.

The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia increased by 784 per day, to 343,957, the federal operational headquarters to combat the new infection told reporters on Friday.

A day earlier, 790 deaths were registered.
