Azerbaijan eyes changing regime of entry to Georgia

Georgia will maintain the current land border regime, taking into account epidemiological risks.
Local bureau of Report informs that this was stated at a meeting of the Georgia's State Interagency Coordinating Council.
On the instructions of Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, work is underway to change the regime of entry into Georgia from the land border. For this purpose, epidemiological trends are monitored in parallel, and relevant decisions will be made after a detailed analysis of the situation.
Free movement between Georgia and Azerbaijan was suspended on March 14 last year due to the pandemic.
