Ombudsman: More than 1 million Ukrainians taken to Russia illegally

More than 1 million Ukrainian citizens have been illegally taken to the territory of Russia, Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova said during a briefing in Kyiv, Report informs, citing Ukrainian media.

"More than 1,185,000 of our citizens, including more than 200,000 children, were taken to the territory of the Russian Federation," she said.
