New sanctions against Russia may be approved on March 14, Report informs.
A new package of sanctions against Russia is expected to be finalized and approved at the level of the Permanent Representatives Committee of the EU member states.
The European Commission and the European External Action Service have already submitted proposals for new sanctions developed in cooperation with international partners.
Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced that the fourth package of sanctions isolating Russia from the global economic system would be imposed on Russia. As part of this package, the EU intends to ban the import of basic steel products from Russia and the export of all luxury goods from their countries to Russia.
