New bridge to be laid between Türkiye and Greece

A new bridge will be built between Türkiye and Greece, said Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu, Report informs via Aksam newspaper.

The minister noted that the project of the bridge is nearing completion. He added that the project is expected to be tendered in 2024.

Uraloglu also pointed out that the agreement was signed in Athens in 2004.

"The project is of great importance not only for Türkiye and Greece, but for the whole region. This will strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries," the minister stressed.

According to the minister, the length of the bridge will be 841 meters.
